I have a Surface Pro with a dock, and i have a Samsung U28E590D plugged in to the dock with a displayport to mini displayport cable. I have a TV plugged in to the dock as well, via an HDMI cable going through an HDMI to mini displayport adapter. It doesn't work. The screen goes black on both the Surface Pro and the monitor. The Surface sits with the black screen and flashes over and over, it seems like the backlight on the Surface is turning on and off over and over again. If I hold the power down on the Surface it will shut off, then come back on.

When I contacted an internal Surface contact, I was told to ask people to use the Feedback Hub App to file a bug report from the impactedSurface while docked so that they could collect logs.Microsoft is s-l-o-w to identify and roll out fixes and I've received no communications on this issue.Wish I had better news, but this is how things currently stand. I will escalate again, but I don't expect a response near term. Wish I could do more to assist.Barb My Blog - MVP-Windows and Devices for IT Windows Insider MVP.
